Figure AI Inc., a startup focusing on deploying humanoid robots in warehouses, is securing approximately $675 million in funding from prominent investors, such as Jeff Bezos, Microsoft, OpenAI, Nvidia, and Intel. The company aims to address labor shortages by developing autonomous humanoid workers, known as Figure 01, that are capable of thinking, learning, and safely collaborating with humans. By performing hazardous warehouse tasks, these robots could help alleviate the lack of available workers. Figure AI’s funding announcement coincides with the growing interest and investment in artificial intelligence and robotic technologies across various industries.
